Excelsa Gardens grows plants that you won’t find at your average nursery. Mark, Susan, and Colin Friedrich are the owners of Excelsa which is located on 30 acres in Loxahatchee, Florida. “We provide a broad range of quality exotic and unusual plant varieties as well as many of the classic favorites”, explains the family. The taste for breathtaking tropicals was acquired while Mark worked at Fairchild Botanical Gardens in Miami in 1980. Excelsa Gardens was established in 1990 and was quickly recognized as the place to obtain the “out of the ordinary” cultivars. We pride ourselves on supplying beautiful tropical plants such as Heliconias, Gingers, Calatheas, Bananas, Palms, and Alocasias.
